Winning the EV100 competition of short documentary-collection

Silmviburlane in cooperation with Vincent Films has won the competition of short documentary-collection, which was announced on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia (EV100) by Estonian Film Institute and Estonian Public Broadcasting.

8 short films under the common theme ROOTS will be directed by 8 female directors from different generations - starting from the debut director Nora Särak and closing with the Estonian poetic documentary pioneer Valeria Anderson-Käsper. The other authors include Aljona Suržikova, Heilika Pikkov, Anna Hints, Moonika Siimets, Liina Triškina and Kersti Uibo. They will tell their personal stories about birth and death, being alone and coming together, the great sadness and joy. Producers of the films are Ülo Pikkov and Helen Vinogradov. The collection will have its premiere in 2017.
