Ülo Pikkov's film Body Memory is in focus at the Minimalen Short Film Festival that runs from 12 to 16 March in Trondheim, Norway. Body Memory is part of the Short Film Studies Symposium. Ülo will also give a seminar "Surrealist Sources of Eastern European Animation Film", which is an extract of his PhD work at the Estonian Academy of Arts.

Short Film Studies Symposium is organised by journal called Short Film Studies (published in the U.K.; founding editor Richard Raskin). At this symposium, the eighth issue of the journal will be launched, focusing on the two prize-winning short films singled out for close study in the issue: Body Memory and Seven Minutes in the Warsaw Ghetto by Johan Oettinger. Both filmmakers will be there for a discussion of key aspects of each of the films on Thursday, March 13 at 11 AM.

Seminar about the surrealist animation will take place on Friday, March 14 at 10 AM.
